Interprétation du CELFCDN-F et applications cliniques
L'Évaluation clinique des notions langagières fondamentales—Version pour francophones du Canada (CELFCDN-F) est un nouvel outil d'évaluation vous permettant d'identifier et de diagnostiquer, de façon rapide et précise, les problèmes de langage chez les enfants de 4 à 16 ans.
Les ateliers d'une demi-journée sur le CELFCDN-F auront pour but de vous fournir un aperçu avancé de l'outil d'évaluation, de vous permettre d'en apprendre davantage à son sujet, et de maximiser sa valeur clinique pour l'utilisateur. Présentés par des praticiennes orthophonistes, ils offriront des renseignements de première main sur l'administration et l'interprétation du test.

Introduction to the WIAT®–IIICDN
Please note that the Introduction to the WIAT®–IIICDN workshop will be presented in English.
The new Wechsler Individual Achievement Test®—Third Edition: Canadian (WIAT–IIICDN) thoroughly assesses key areas of achievement and targets interventions with result-specific goal statements. Suitable for use in various educational and clinical settings, including schools, clinics, private practices, and residential treatment facilities, this latest edition is designed to improve the diagnostic power and sensitivity of subtests, and provide maximally informative scores, skills analysis, and meaningful comparisons between achievement and ability.
This 3-hour introductory workshop will provide you with first insights into the new WIAT–IIICDN. It will highlight the changes from the WIAT–IICDN to the WIAT–IIICDN, introduce new subtests and scoring procedures, and discuss the use of the intervention component to target specific weaknesses in achievement areas such as reading, mathematics, and written language. The session will also include a discussion of the Wechsler Fundamentals: Academic Skills—Canadian (WF:ASCDN), a recent addition to the family of Wechsler achievement products. This tool can be used in conjunction with the WIAT–IIICDN to help comprehensively screen for academic weakness and monitor students' progress over time.

Behaviour Assessment with the BASC™–2 Family of Instruments
Please note that the Behaviour Assessment with the BASC™–2 Family of Instruments workshop will be presented in English.
[ Fee-based workshop -- Special Registration ] The BASC–2 family of assessment tools offers a comprehensive, multi-dimensional approach to help identify and manage emotional and behavioural strengths and weaknesses in children and adolescents.
This workshop will cover all aspects of the behavioural and emotional assessment of children:
- Universal screening with the Behavioral and Emotional Screening System (BESS)
- Identifying children with specific behavioural and emotional needs and conducting progress monitoring
- In-depth diagnosis and classification as supported by use of the BASC–2 Rating Scales, Structured Developmental History (SDH), Student Observation System (SOS), Parenting Relationship Questionnaire (PRQ), as well as other components of the BASC–2 family
- Using the BASC–2 Progress Monitor for evaluating interventions
- Using the BASC–2 measures in the context of current knowledge about child psychopathology, including issues of prevalence, comorbidity, diagnostic systems, and cultural and linguistic contexts
- Using various software support systems for decision making

The Integration of Neuropsychological Constructs in the Assessment of School-aged Children
Please note that the The Integration of Neuropsychological Constructs in the Assessment of School-aged Children workshop will be presented in English.
[ Fee-based workshop -- Special Registration ] Neuropsychological constructs such as executive functioning, working memory, and processing speed have become operationalized in many of the major cognitive assessment batteries and stand-alone tests within the past decade. These constructs are not new to neuropsychologists but may be unfamiliar to some professionals working with school-aged children. The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with an introduction to a school neuropsychological conceptual model which integrated these neuropsychological constructs into a report format that makes sense to parents and educators.
Participants will:
- Learn about a brief historical review of school neuropsychology.
- Be provided a review of a school neuropsychological conceptual model.
- Review the basic neuropsychological constructs that fit with the conceptual model.
- Learn how these basic neuropsychological constructs are typically measured.
- Learn how assessing these basic neuropsychological constructs can help guide interventions.

[ Fee-based workshop -- Special Registration ] The purpose of the workshop is to provide an introduction to the NEPSY®–II and to provide participants with some basic tools to synthesize the test results into a form that parents and teachers will understand.
Participants will:
- Learn about the theoretical foundations of the NEPSY–II.
- Learn how to select subtests linked to referral question(s).
- Be provided a review of the basic administration tips for the NEPSY–II subtests.
- Be provided a method of condensing the NEPSY–II scores into a reportable format for parents and teachers.
- Learn how the NEPSY–II can be interpreted within a school neuropsychological conceptual model.
